PUS - The "Public Understanding of Science"

All across Europe we now have active promotion of something called the "Public Understanding of Science" (PUS). Take the clear objectives of the Austrian federal ministry for education, science and culture, for example: "The emerging 'knowledge society' requires 'science awareness' to be embedded more strongly in the minds of as broad a segment of the population as possible. Accepting and understanding science and research are part of a living culture and are also an expression of a democracy based on responsible citizens. They require a continuous dialogue and intensified communication between the world of science and the various players in society." (From their website, with emphasis added.)

Basically, the idea is simply this: Believe that the universe is infinitely big; that we very luckily exist on an insignificant little bit of rock that hurtles around a totally insignificant star at more than 25 times the speed of a rifle bullet; and that everything just formed all by itself in 15 milliard years. Anyone who says otherwise is branded by the likes of the chief British PUS spreader, Professor Richard Dawkins of Oxford University, as being mentally deficient. (Actually, I think the word Prof. Dawkins normally uses is only five letters long and starts with an 'i'.)

That the moving World model has not one shred of experimental evidence to back it up is kept well hidden, in case the public should begin to understand something. The 'education' that western society seeks to 'enlighten' the 'uncivilised savage' and 'fundamentalist' in far-flung corners of the globe with, is a form of stifled, insidious brain-washing. That we must believe that we are all totally reliant upon the politicians for our well-being. They will look after us in this hostile, accidental universe. And, just to ensure that this 'free' society spreads its tentacles ever further afield, dissenting voices at home do not get government funding, and foreign countries with a different set of priorities are forced into submission, either by denying them food or medical supplies, or by dropping bombs on them and invading their lands to instigate regime change. (Of course, if they happen to be sitting on huge oil reserves, or be in an ideal position for the location of an oil pipeline, then their 'education' and 'liberation' by the whores of Ezra-hell can be sped up dramatically, through an intensified 'learning programme'.)
